Martin County native Boo Lowery relocated and lovingly restored many of the cabins that made up the old Pitchford's Camp in Jensen Beach. Today, the private family fish camp he has created in the backwoods of Palm City is vintage old Florida charm. Until now, only Boo's family and a handful of friends have ever experienced this charming look back in time. Boo has, for the first time, opened the property for a special BBQ and Bluegrass event benefitting Stuart Heritage Museum.

Attire: This is an outdoor event, in the backwoods of Palm City. Although the property is manicured, this is a remote location and attire should be appropriate to roughing it in the Florida backwoods or fishing the banks of the Okeechobee.

What to Bring: The BBQ pit area will have seating/tables. We recommend bringing a folding chair to use for sitting by the lake to enjoy the bluegrass band.

Weather Date: Due to the nature of the event and the outdoor and remote location, if weather is inclement a rain date will be set for February.

Tickets: This is an adult-only, 21 and over event. Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite.com or by visiting the Stuart Heritage Museum at 161 SW Flagler Avenue, Stuart, FL Tickets are priced at $60 pp or $100 per couple. We are limited to a total of 125 guests at this event so purchase early to ensure you are one of the lucky few to experience this magical piece of authentic old Florida. Call Stuart Heritage Museum, 772-220-4600.
