JUNE 10, 2020 | 7 A.M. | PORT ST. LUCIE–The City canceled its 2020 Freedomfest celebration and fireworks show normally held on July 4.

Instead, the city will air a virtual fireworks show at 9 p.m., Saturday, July 4.

The City’s annual Freedomfest event, which traditionally includes the ever-popular fireworks display, is one of Port St. Lucie’s largest and most-watched events.

The cancellation is a precaution to prevent the gathering of large crowds amid the coronavirus pandemic.

This year’s virtual Freedomfest fireworks display is a prerecorded compilation of the brightest and biggest fireworks from previous years.
