Treasure Coast Theatre will transport its audiences back to 1992 Chicago when The Undeniable Sound of Right opens. Emmy-nominated screenwriter Laura Eason (House of Cards) takes the audience on a heartfelt journey through familial relationships within the framework of dive bars and rock music when she introduces us to the world of Hank’s Bar.
Hank is preparing to celebrate his bar’s 25th anniversary. Changing times – and changing musical tastes - are taking their toll on both the bar’s attendance and Hank’s patience as his daughter, Lena, begins dating Nash, an up & coming DJ. When the landlord’s son tries to flex his muscles and orders an exorbitant rent increase, Lena comes up with a plan to save the bar. The question is, will Hank let Lena run with her idea or will his pride stand in the way as “the next big thing” threatens his legacy?
